This thesis explores what it means to belong, not just among humans, but within a broader interdependent network of beings. Through a posthuman design lens, it reimagines belonging as a mutual, evolving relationship between humans and non-human entities, including stones, forests, and more-than-human beings. Grounded in practice-led research, it pushes the boundaries of perspective and design research. Rather than treating belonging as a fixed destination, this work approaches it as a continuous process of becoming and rebalancing. It unfolds in four steps: exploring, engaging, empathizing, and becoming—with care-based relationships enhancing belonging even in brief encounters. The resulting framework and tools function as relational and discursive design interventions, fostering connection and provoking ongoing reflection on our interdependence with nature.
