Unfolding Gestures brings together practices of ceramic and textile making and draws parallels between the two processes by focusing on what lies beyond their surface and is revealed through them. The exhibition looks at what happens during the act of making and how the information retained is later unfolded. Making manifests itself here not only as production but as a way of sensing, listening and knowing. Behind each piece there are moments kept, gestures repeated, conversations, and encounters with materials preserved. In this way, they aim to uncover the hidden, the mundane and the everyday and provide an invitation to spend a moment with them.
