Lühikirjeldus: Most exhibitions are designed around an assumed average visitor. For neurodivergent and sensory-sensitive visitors, overload and fatigue often emerge through hidden conditions and design decisions the exhibition team cannot notice in time. Using Fotografiska Tallinn as a case, this Interaction Design MA thesis asks how museums can make sensory experience visible and usable in exhibition-making.The research combined shadowing with four neurodivergent visitors, nine semi-structured interviews and Research through Design. The design outcome is a conceptual participatory system for sensory inclusion, built around a pre-exhibition Sensory Brief, in-room touchpoints and a future Sensory Library. The thesis prototypes and tests the visitor-facing touchpoint as the system’s entry point.
