Lühikirjeldus: This thesis explores how design can support more ethical distributions of risk, responsibility, and care within small-scale fisheries in Türkiye, focusing on the Marmara Sea and Bosphorus region. Grounded in UN Sustainable Development Goals 14 and 12, the research examines fisheries as a complex socio-ecological system shaped by ecological degradation, economic instability, fragmented governance, and unequal representation. Through desk research, interviews, and visual mapping, the project investigates how these dynamics intersect in everyday fishing practices. The final outcome is a systemic gigamap and a set of leverage points that visualize relationships, tensions, and asymmetries within the fisheries ecosystem, supporting more informed and collaborative sustainability interventions.
