Lühikirjeldus: The purpose of this thesis was to find out what type of design solutions can support the development of movement habits and how assistive materials could be used to promote movement habits in blind and visually impaired women. Through research into the community, I became aware of different components on the obstacles women with sight loss experience. Visual impairments have an impact on posture, balance and movement. The absence of visual input can lead to gait abnormalities, chronic muscular tension and postural deformities. In this regard exercise plays a critical role in enhancing postural stability, strength and overall well-being. Cultivating body awareness through taking one step towards rediscovering body proprioception aids in restoring physical functions and reconnects blind and visually impaired with their external environment. Somatic movements can be a key component in developing better body awareness.
