Lühikirjeldus: Much like a patchwork quilt my practice is composed of many bits and pieces. To me, craft is a process of interaction between people and material and between people themselves. Process is movement, in the choreographies of making and in the gradual unfolding of the thing that is being made. When your work is about process and interaction, it is hard to envision your work shown in a gallery-style space. To me this feels too static and solid, devoid of possibility, too final. My challenge was to create something moving, shifting and unfolding. The project is titled "Extensions" to refer to the extensions that support us in art and life but often go unnoticed. The project is a series of extensions and the extensions are extensions of each other: a radio show, a performance, a lecture, a quilt.
