Lühikirjeldus: This thesis explores memory, material, and language as interconnected sites of artistic inquiry. Through analysis of socially engaged and installation-based practices — both the author's own and those of contemporaries — the research considers how the body holds, loses, and reconstructs experience. Central to this investigation is the concept of language anemia: a condition in which existing vocabularies prove insufficient to articulate lived experience. The thesis argues that contemporary art offers an alternative grammar for navigating what cannot otherwise be said.
